Currently Sonia is singing in the Dutch groups Caimán and Pan con Timba.
Caimán's latest release is "Somos caimán". Sonia Pérez is born on may 2nd 1969 in Camagüey in Cuba, she started her musical career at the age of ten with guitar lessons.
Soon after her first performance followed as a singer in the Casa de la Cultura in Camagüey.
In 1988 at the age of nineteen she became a professional soloist and played a show in hotel Camagüey with Contacto.
