The Box Social
The Box Social was a Madison, WI.-based rock band that stands out as one of the Midwest's most diligent underground groups. With their blend of dirty rock, and pop sensibility, they were often compared to Paul Westerberg, Phantom Planet, and the edgier side of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The Box Social was founded by friends Nick Junkunc and Brian Peoplis, along with guitarist Nick Woods and bassist Dave Griesbach. Rapidly leaving their Wisconsin contemporaries behind, the band set out on an uncommon course, quickly rising to regional and national stages.
