A Closing Skyline began in Matthews, NC in early 2002. The band quickly began playing live and recorded a 5 song demo. After a couple hundred handmade demos sold and just around 15 shows under their belt the band entered Catalyst Recording studio in Charlotte, NC with producer Rob Tavaglione to work on their debut full length. From this the band emerged with, "The Close Day of Promise". The band independently released the album in 2003 and set out on several small tours in support of the record. This was quite a feat for a bunch of 11th grade high schoolers.
