There are 2 artists with this name: 1. Circ are producer Alexander Perls (009 Sound System, Icebreaker International) and vocalist Madelin Lane (Madelin Zero). The two met at a Sonic Youth concert on The Bowery in New York City during the summer of 2001. Perls had been living in NYC since 1998, working for the American video artist Matthew Barney. Madelin had moved to NYC six months earlier, and was working for a midtown talent agent as a talent scout for the daytime soap operas.
