Through a mutual friend the band started. Jeroen and Annemiek got to know eachother and stayed friends because of the same passion, music. Jeroen really started a band after going back to high school, deciding he wanted to get a higher diploma where he met Michael and Joerie. Together they formed Broken Last Wish. Even if the band had some great songs and added Selina as a bassist, musical disagreements made Michael leave the band and Jeroen asked Annemiek, of who he know she was a drummer like Michael, to take his place temporarely which later turned out to be permanent.
