Trainwreck Rally formed in Athens, Georgia in 2005 as a band called Joker, when Daniel Binnie and Ted Lord met and began to collaborate, writing melodic hard rock, with a Classic and Southern rock influence. Soon afterwards, Mark Crowley joined the group, bringing with him an alternative rock sensibility.
