Magic People is a modern rock band based in Boston, Massachusetts. They eschew the guitar in favor of futuristic keyboards, and their songs bend toward angular cries of anxiety leavened with beauteous flights of fancy. The band is fronted by a winking maniac, who forgoes traditional singing with proclamations that have more in common with fire and brimstone than with rhythm and blues. The experimental nature of the band is rooted in a meticulously sloppy rhythm section, which can appeal to the mind and thighs in equal proportions, and always aim to excite a youthful ear.
