Playdoh
Playdoh is a French collective of six musicians and a video artist. After some noisy demo tapes , they released their first album in 2000, playdoh, a milestone in French post-rock. While clearly influenced by Sonic Youth, Blonde Redhead and Slint, they already add some electronic sounds to their post-rock hypnotic melodies, thus creating their very own sound. Their second album (and last to date) Fragments, in 2003, is more influenced by Boards of Canada or minimal german electro (label Kompakt).
