Self-explained as "Lifetime meets Jawbreaker", Empty Handed NJ played fast, melodic, and uncompromising pop punk with a touch of old school hardcore. The band broke out onto the NJ punk scene in late 1999 and cut a two song demo in 2000. After some member changes and struggles, the band, consisting of Joseph Edwards, Marshall Jones, Ian Webster (and sometimes Anthony Gregory) found their stride in 2001. That year saw the band record a 9 song full length titled “Through Choices Made”.
