The First Cut was an emo / indie rock band from Bergen, Norway. The band started out as Crash with members from Jr. Ewing and Kids Like Us in 2000 and released a self titled 7" the following autumn on the label Sound Fiction . After a 10" on Premonition/Sound Fiction, a CD with the 10" and the first seveninch on the London label Firefly, a split 7" with the american band Solea (ex. Texas Is the Reason and Samiam) and a few tours in the UK and Europe, the band changed name to The First Cut.
