Davy Jones was the early artist name of David Bowie (Real Name: David Robert Jones). He recorded a few singles with the band "The Lower Third" during the mid '60s. He changed his name to avoid confusion with the then more popular Monkees member, Davy Jones (see David Bowie With The Lower Third).
