There are multiple artists with this name MC²: (1) MC² - or sometimes typeset as MCsq for the purposes of style and font - is Sam Williams, currently based between Christchurch, New Zealand and Yosemite, California, but originally hailing from Wales, UK. MC² started in a Swansea student bedroom in 2005-2006 after an in-house competition between housemates to create an originally crafted hip-hop track using the same software and samples. But rather than creating a hip-hop track, Williams set about breaking down samples to mix into the program to make a track with a more chilled out vibe.
