Ultra Mega Technobandið Stefán can be described as a rather rare phenomenon. Ultra Mega Technobandið Stefán started playing sometime in 2006 and within months had taken Iceland by storm, appearing on both television and radio after they had be runners up in the national battle of the bands. In October of the same year they played at Iceland Airwaves and created a scandal in the Icelandic scene with their over the top performance and stage presence.
